BOLIX RENO TERM - REPAIR OF DAMAGED FACADE

BOLIX Reno Term is a system designed to renovate and repair damaged elements of the ETICS systems with EPS.

The Reno System is a solution for:

- render flaking, chipping, dusting, shelling, and even falling off

- discolouration

- dirt build-up

- EWI partial debonding from the surface

- mechanical damage to the EWI.

Chipping, flaking or dusting façade is the first-stage sign of the decrease in EWI performance. To prevent further loss of EWI performance, the render coat must be rebonded, strengthen and sealed off. Be aware that the repair will only be effective, if the damage is only superficial and the adhesion to the base coat is sufficient. Then, remove any spalling, crumbling or chipping render with a brush or pressure washer and wash the surface. Make sure that render texture is not destroyed or washed-off during the treatment. Cleaning should be carried out from top down. Façades finished with acrylic, mineral, silicate or silicone renders can be cleaned with a wash.

BOLIX CLNdeveloped to dissolve and remove grease, soot, dust, etc. Only when the surface is properly prepared, the repairing and sealing off using our system products is possible.

When the façade is dry, seal it with the primer BOLIX N. It can be applied using a roller or a paint brush. If the surface is porous, the sealing can be repeated (not earlier than after 4h from the first coat application). Any larger scratches, cracks or cavities in the render texture should be filled with render. The final stage of repair works is render painting. The paint should suit the surface to be painted e.g. the acrylic paint BOLIX AZ or AZ Complex for mineral and acrylic renders, the silicate paint BOLIX SZ for mineral or silicate (surface previously primed with BOLIX SG), the silicone paint BOLIX SIL for mineral, acrylic and silicate renders (surface previously primed with BOLIX SG). When selecting a colour, it is important to remember that dark shades have increased absorption of solar radiation, and thus are exposed to excessive thermal stress, what can lead to cracks in the paint film and colour fading.
